Digital Footprint / Digital Citizenship
A digital footprint is a collection of everything that you have done on the internet. Your digital footprint could include your Facebook profile, a You-tube video, or even a online article that you made. Any where you go on the internet leaves a trail, and that is your digital footprint.
Digital citizenship is your respect and responsibility online. That means that you don't insult a person every time you are on Facebook, or that you do or don't put mean videos of a person on You-tube. Or that you respect other privacy , by not sharing personal information with others. It is very important that you have a good digital citizenship.
A positive example of digital citizenship is is not saying mean or hurtful things to others online. Another example is respect others privacy by not trying to hack on their account. If the person told you their username and password do not tell anybody else.
A negative example of digital citizenship is spend too much time playing games online and not getting enough exercise. Another example is swearing and telling embarrassing information about someone.
Digital Citizenship is related to social responsibility because social responsibility being kind and respectful with face to face interaction, and digital citizenship is being kind and respectful online.
Assignment: DigiTeen Introduction
After reading some introductions from other students in the project:
1. Look at the rubric so that you will know how the introduction will be graded (advanced is worth the most points, beginning is worth the least points).
2. Write 5 - 10 (or more) sentences to introduce yourself.
3. Pay particular attention to correct spelling, capitalization and punctuation - this is SCHOOL WRITING, not TEXT writing.
Hi everybody, my name is Cole. I go to Anamosa WMS. I am 12 years old, I turn 13 on June 25, 2012. I love sports. I play football, basketball, baseball, and golf. My favorite of the four is golf. My favorite food is BBQ ribs. My favorite drink is Dr. Pepper. I have a dog, mom and dad, and two sisters.
